Conferences:
I hope to see you at school for conferences. Please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a conference.

Family Paint Night:
Please join us this Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm for our annual Family Paint Night. All materials and dinner will be provided.

Book Fair:
Make sure and stop by the Book Fair this week.

• Friday March 14th 12:15p-1:00p

Students MUST be accompanied by an adult or 16+ years old sibling.

Dental Screening:
Tacoma Public Schools has partnered with Community Health to provide a free dental clinic for our students on Tuesday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 18th. Please check your students’ backpack for a permission slip to participate (return at your earliest convenience). This dental event offers a free examination, fluoride application and sealant at NO COST. Your child will also come home with a free dental goodie bag! Please don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity! If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to the Travis Health Room at 253-571-4902

Travis PTA: Join Our New PTA – We Need Your Support!
We’re excited to announce the start of our very own Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)! To officially launch, we need all parents, alumni, and community members interested in joining to please sign up. All visitors to Travis Elementary are expected to support a safe and orderly learning environment. This includes interactions with staff and students. Cell Phones:
Students cannot use their cell phones at school.

Snacks & Toys Stay at Home:
Please keep toys, soda pop, gum, large bags of chips, and full-size candy at home! These items are distractions to learning.

Weather: 
This week has a little bit of everything! We go outside daily unless it is extreme weather. We are unable to keep students inside during recess.

Schedule during conference week
During parent-teacher conference week, school schedules will be adjusted. On Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14. Elementary schools that have a regular dismissal time of 3:30 p.m. will be released at 12:15 p.m. 4
